ROOKIE'S PROGRAM
Sunday 20th March 2011.
South Yarra Sports Centre

Melbourne Surge Water Polo is holding their very own Rookie's Program, where you can come and join in on our training program and learn a little more about playing water polo as well as being involved in one of Melbourne's best gay sporting groups.
Anyone can come and join along on the day no matter what your experience is with water polo.

One the day, you will need to bring just yourselves, your swimming togs, a towel, a change of clothes, and the willingness to try something new, as well as to learn something different, and also to have some fun along the way!
We will go through some key areas, such as knowledge, strength and skills. You will be taught the rules and play of the game, as well as some swimming. You will also practice passing and shooting as well as going through some play movements including leg work.
Current players will help to guide you along the way, to help encourage and motivate you, as you go through different stages of development over the next couple of months.
Just remember that everyone had to start from somewhere.

CARNY FOLKS
Well it was another successful carnival day for the Surge.
We got some new recruits, sold some raffle tickets, had by far the prettiest stall in the place and managed to keep most of our reputations intact....
Thanks to everyone who came down to say hi, and all the guys from Surge who lent a hand.
Remember this Saturday (Jan 22) is Grudge Match at South Yarra Sports Centre. From 6pm. Looks like it will be a great event, with special guests and a couple of surprise shows.
